AMPLIFIED 2015 | Luke 11:1 It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He finished, one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples." |
Bible Question:
If there is something that we really want in life, are we saposed to pray to our Lord in as much detail as we can about it. For example. If you pray for a car. the lord might give you an old beat up 89 ford car. but then if you pray for a brand new 2005 for, then that's more specific. So are you saposed to pray your needs/wants in detail? Thanks |
Bible Answer: Christ taught us how to pray. Mt 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. Mt 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Mt 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Sometimes, people really wants something in life, but God provides everything that we really needs in life and how to go to Him. God bless, |
