AMPLIFIED 2015 | Mark 9:42 ¶ "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe and trust in Me to stumble [that is, to sin or lose faith], it would be better for him if a heavy millstone [one requiring a donkey's strength to turn it] were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea. Bible Note: Dear Sister Azure, I'm not sure if I understand your question, and I don't know much about the kione Greek, but from English, and indeed from knowing what God's word says about His heart toward His own, and especially the 'little ones'. I cannot imagine that it could mean any other then, the one who causes the little one to stumble, he would be the one who received the millstone necklace. I've never heard any other explanation or thought there could even be one. Just my two cents. I hope it helps. :-) John |
