Subject: "My name is Legion; for we are many." |
Bible Note: "My name is Legion; for we are many." Words of Wit and Wisdom from the Pen of Glory Bound and Not Yet (a.k.a. GloryBound, GloryBoun, GloryBoundd, Glory_Bound, G.B, GeorJoy, NYP): Not Yet writes: 'You have access to the Word just as I do. If you were familiar with it, you would know to what I refer. May I humbly suggest, you spend a little more time therein.' (These remarks were addressed to a Forum member who has been registered since May 2002 and has a total of 1,025 posts.) 'I am of no "opinion" not depicted in scripture.' 'May I ask D--, do you, as many do, dislike truth when it is concise, simple and to the point?' (These remarks were addressed to a Forum member who has been registered since July 2004 and has a total of 1,997 posts.) 'Scripture can mean many different things to different people, depending on the current happenings in their life at one particular time.' 'If I failed to quote the scripture, it is because I would have to quote page after page, and I took it for granted that those who read my post were familiar with the passages concerning my references.' (But one of the guidelines for the forum is: "Whenever possible, postings should include supporting Bible references.") GeorJoy writes: 'It is so easy to discern the thoughts of the those who quote scripture in defense of their simplemindedness.' 'H---, are you too so quick to judge simply due to your lack of understanding?...Then dear brother and all who would dispute the subject, re read them until the spirit opens your eyes. For it is apparent that it is not the time of understanding for many...If you still do not understand and REFUSE TO SEE...' (These remarks were addressed to a Forum member who has been registered since April 2001 and has a total of 5,511 posts.) 'you might consider re-reading my posts, for your post, though vaguely near, is absurdly beneath the realms of thought portrayed therein.'(These remarks were addressed to a Forum member who has been registered since April 2001 and has a total of 5,511 posts.) 'Everyone responding has either ignored or failed to see the truth in this verse...' 'The Bible Study forum can be classified as a church.' '...as I am sure you will agree, some simply can not or will not understand. Along with the few who have the nerve to "stand firm," I will not be swayed by the (opinions) of others when scripture plainly tells me contrary. 'It is apparent that you simply do not understand my argument. 'I understand where you are coming from and I wish you could truly understand what you read.' 'Dear soul, you stated "I do believe wholeheartedly, that He that saved me, is more than capable to keep me." I do too. But scripture teachs that one "can remove his name from the Lambs Book of life."' (Here once again he alleges to quote the Bible, but gives no reference as to where (book, chapter and verse) the Bible says this.) 'It is so easy to read the thoughts of the simple minded where scripture is quoted. Perhaps they never learned, or they are so soon to forget that Saton himself quoted from scripture. 'I should think that even the simple minded should posses, at the very least, a minute amount of discernment. This is not so. 'They are ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.' _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Has anyone noticed a pattern in these posts? He repeatedly implies that if anyone does not agree with him, it is because they: [] are simpleminded, [] are not familiar with the Scriptures, [] dislike the truth, [] lack understanding, [] quote scripture in defense of their simplemindedness, [] need to re-read them (the Scriptures) until the spirit opens their eyes, [] "REFUSE TO SEE", [] "either ignored or failed to see the truth" (i.e., the truth according to GeorJoy/Not Yet), [] can not or will not understand, [] "never learned", etc., etc., etc. That's enough for now. But there's plenty more where that came from. Grace to you, Kalos |
