Subject: Question on one word in Mark 3:29 |
Bible Note: bartii You want to be careful here, your illustration of the habitual liar is not exactly the case. Often what happens to a habitual liar is they have spun the truth so much they have actually lost track of what is true. They have confused or blinded themselves In the case of Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is a rejection of truth. There might be deception brought on by Satan that blurrs the truth but Satan can not keep a person from the truth. Jesus has the victory. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is deliberate rejection of truth not confusion over what might be true or not. I believe that the Holy Spirit brings everyone face to face with the truth, their sin and their need for salvation. What they then do with it is what they are judged for. EdB |
