AMPLIFIED 2015 | Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard this, He said to them, "Those who are healthy have no need of a physician, but [only] those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners [who recognize their sin and humbly seek forgiveness]." |
Bible Question (short): Prayer and verses to help hopelessness |
Question (full): I don't know if this is a question or just a request for prayer. I have a sister that has been seeing a psychiatrist for several years. He has her taking several different medications for depression and anxity. Recently she has been going through a really rough patch and her psychiatrist just increases her meds. She is saved and has started going to church with me because she does realize that she needs something else. My concern is that he keeps raising her depression meds and she has told me that she is having stronger and stronger suicidal thoughts. I have advised her to talk to her psychiatrist to get off or at least cut back on the depression meds as I know they will cause these thoughts. I spend several hours a week with her and I encourage her to read her Bible. She has deep feelings of unworthiness and feelings of hopelessness. Can you give me any verses that I can give her that might help her fight this battle of the mind that she is in with satan? |
