Bible Question:
I understand you to say that the actions of the early disciples were born out of necessity and were not necessarily related to any specific teachings from the mouth of Jesus. Or perhaps you are saying that the Holy Spirit was teaching them all things, and bringing all things to their remembrance, whatsoever he had said unto them. He was guiding them? |
Bible Answer: As a true worshipper, disciple, we do nothing of ourselves, rather our entire lives are guided by our Lord. What was necessary in Jerusalem after Penetecost was not necessary in Antioch. A diferent time and different circumstances. But the same God leading His people. When Paul said,Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. [KJV] He is telling us that Jesus guided His life 24/7. It is not Paul who lives. It is Christ in Him who lives. The life Paul lives is by leaning on trusting in COMPLETELY, ENTIRELY in Christ. This is the position we, the disciples now and then, ascribe to. Being instruments of righteousness played by the master musician Jesus. Is that clearer? Asis |
