Bible Question: Sorry Jeff, one more. In Matthew 3, Jesus went to John the Baptist to be baptize in water as well. Did Jesus need the baptizm of ''repentance' or is there anything that he He need to repent of? I mean he is sinless isn't he? |
Bible Answer: Hi ngkh, No, Jesus was cleary sinless as Heb. 4:15 tells us. I believe the answer can be found in the text. If we look at Matt. 3:15 it says: "But Jesus answering said to him, "Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he *permitted Him." All He (Jesus) did was toward complete fulfillment of the law, that He could indeed be the spotless Lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world. I hope this will help. BradK |
