Bible Question:
1.) Why does Jesus need to be tempted? 2.) Why would a story of Jesus' temptation come right after Jesus' first public appearance through water baptism, public declaration from God himself about Jesus's deity (as Son) then Holy Spirit's sending to desert for temptation? Does this bear significance at all to us as Christians who accepted him as Lord and Saviour? |
Bible Answer: It shows us that He was without sin. It also shows us the types of temptations we will face in this life. John 1:29 The next day he *saw Jesus coming to him and *said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. |
