NASB | Matthew 9:5 "Which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Get up, and walk'? |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 9:5 "For which is easier, to say, 'Your sins are forgiven and the penalty paid,' or to say, 'Get up and walk'? [Both are possible for God; both are impossible for man.] |
Bible Question: What does this mean? |
Bible Answer: Jesus was pointing out that saying your sin are forgiven can not be proved this side of heaven. However to say get up a walk requires the person to be healed on the spot and to get up and walk. Proof is immediately required. It was a demonstration of His infinite power. |
