Bible Question: Is it that the pharisees and John's diciples fasted with impure intentions not having their hearts toward God, and Jesus was telling them that before their fasting can be profitable they must be renewed by the spirit? |
Bible Answer: Scripture .... Verse 15 continues ... And Jesus said to them, "The attendants of the bridegroom cannot mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them, can they? But the days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast". Since He was the Bridegroom they were not fasting at that time. The answer to your question is no. |
