Bible Question (short): "Ask and you shall receive"

Question (full): I wonder if someone here could shed
a little light on the subject of,
"Ask and you shall receive"? Many people of great Faith have asked and trusted God for a physical healing that was never granted. To tell them, they lacked enough Faith seems to not only judge their relationship with God but it also makes no allowance for the fact that God's Divine plan for them may have been a spiritual healing rather than a physical one.
Faith moves mountains (it would seem)
only if that be within the Divine Will.
(which is still always BEST for us)
Should we not be careful in telling others that their lack of healing was due to a lack of Faith?
I don't see God as someone who answers
prayers dependent upon great faith or little faith but upon His loving mercy
toward all His children. Sometimes,this
means not the physical healing asked for
but rather a journey out of pain and
into eternal bliss.
"Ask and you shall receive"....please
comment? Hopefully several of you can
help me understand this a little better?
Am I Scripturally off-base here?
His still learning grace child, Toni
