Bible Note: Greetings In the Andes! I agree with what McGracer wrote to you my friend! To add to it just a bit, people in the Old Testament were saved in the same way that people after the time of Christ are saved - by faith. The entire Bible teaches that the Law could not save them. Paul's discussion of Abraham in Romans 4 makes this clear. Also, Heb. 11 makes it clear that those of the Old Testament looked forward through faith to Christ and were made perfect along with us (Heb. 11:40). This is important for us to understand. Old Testament or New, everyone is saved by faith in Christ. So, Job, while he did not have the benefit of hindsight, still had faith in God and thus was saved by Christ's death on the cross.
