Discernment is not assumption... Discernment - diakrisis, judicial estimation - discern (-ing), disputation. Judicial - proceeding from a court of justice We are told to “mark” the deceivers... Romans 16:17-18 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. Wrong thinking corrupts the whole... 1 Cor. 15:33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. corrupt - phtheiro(to pine or waste); properly to shrivel or wither, i.e. to spoil (by any process) or (genitive) to ruin (especially figurative by moral influences, to deprave) - corrupt (self), defile, destroy. This word is never used in Scripture in the sense of verbal communication from one to another satan has a planned strategy to capture by it... Eph. 4:14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; The wrath of God comes upon those who are led astray by it...
