AMPLIFIED 2015	Matthew 7:11 "If you then, evil (sinful by nature) as you are, know how to give good and advantageous gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven [perfect as He is] give what is good and advantageous to those who keep on asking Him.

Bible Question: Is Jesus refering to the gift of the Holy Spirit in this verse?

I will answer your question with my usual look look at capitalization and pronouns of Deity. You will come to expect that if you read any of my posts.

My answer would be "Yes" it is speaking of the Holy Spirit. The Father who is in heaven is Spirit and He gives good spiritual gifts to those who ask Him.

I personally have a belief that there is the Holy Spirit and the holy spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Giver and the holy spirit is the gift. That is my premise for this post.

What man among you will give his son a [stumbling?] stone when he is asking for a loaf?

Matthew 7:11, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father/ who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him."

Matthew 25:34, "Then the King will say to those on His right, 'Come, you who are blessed of My/Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world."
