Bible Question: Are we do pray to Jesus? Cite Scripture, if we are to. Else, why do some teach children to pray to Him? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Steve! I think most people would say that since Christ is a member of the Godhead that it is appropriate to address prayers to Him or to the Holy Spirit. There is one verse (that I have found so far) where prayer is addressed to Christ - Acts 7:59. It says, "While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, ‘‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.”" I hope this helps! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
