Bible Question:
At what point during prayer do one needs to say Amen; Could it be amidst or must be at the end of the prayer? Also, is it right to say "The Grace of Our Lord" (as recorded in II Corinthians 13:14) at the end of prayer? |
Bible Answer: Matt 6:7 "And when you are praying, do not use meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. Amen is more common at the end of a prayer. Does the word 'Amen' really mean something to you or do you use it because that's what you have always heard? In the Lord's sample prayer, Matt 6:13, the end phrase with 'Amen' is likely an addition. Amen is to be repeated after each curse in Deut 27 to accept it. |
