Bible Question: Basically, just read God's word, not neccassirely to understand it all, because God will give you understanding if he wishes, but he wants to see if you want to read his word, and you must prove your faith to him, then he will give you understanding? |
Bible Answer: Jason, Good evening.Son you are making it much more complicated for yourself than it really is.I gather that you are a young dicsiple.correct me if I'm wrong,I can see though that you have a heart for God and He will honor that, thats something you can take to the bank! You've gotten solid advice from other folks here on the forum. Let me share a few scriptures with you that hopefully will simplify things for you. First of all the bible in 1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us that God is not a God of confusion.2.2 Timothy 1:5 God has not given us a spirit of timidity(fear). The adversary wants you confused in mind fearfull of heart. Ya know what I say to that? Bah humbug, hogwash. It's not a matter if God wishes for you to understand because He does,3. Enter 2 Timothy 2:15 Huge, huge, huge! God wants you to understand period. Will you understand it all? Probably not in this lifetime. But check this out, anytime you go to God and His Word with a teachable heart you are going to learn, you will come away with understanding you didn't have before. It's a lifetime process son. Now here's the cherry on top of the sundea. Pray, pray, pray! Luke 18:1 This is one of the biggest reasons we pray.Cause if we dont we wont make it. Dont lose heart,it's a lifelong journey but it can be a rich rewarding one that will help us make it to heaven. Dont let anything steal your heart from God. In Christ, lionheart |
