Bible Question:
Alright,i understand that we cast all our worries unto God because he cares. I know we shouldn't worry about tommorow. But yet I still worry, and in my mind it's just hard to bear sometimes the negative thoughts. I wonder how long will this go on. I dont know how to change my thoughts. I try to put positive thoughts in there but it feels like it never works that long lasting anyways. It may work for like a split seconds sometimes. I just want to turn my negative worriesome mind into a positive mind. I just dont really understand how to put that into practice. If someone could help in that area, that would be much helpful. Thanks. Jason |
Bible Answer: Hi, Jason... Worry stems from not knowing God and His promises. Study His attributes. Romans 8:28 is one of His promises to us. God is sovereign. Consequently, we know that anything that happens to us will be for our good and His glory. He is too wise to make a mistake. He knows all things, so nothing will miss His notice. He is infinitely powerful, so He cannot be thwarted. He is so loving, that He cannot desire anything but your ultimate good. He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things? (Romans 8:32 ESV) If God was willing to do that to insure your salvation, what else is there to worry about? Everything else is, after all, very temporary! In Him, Doc |
