Subject: Matthew 6:33 - what does "But" imply? |
Bible Note: I know you desire an answer, BUT look at the context and see...The "but" here is the same as it is there-try replacing the "but" with "nevertheless" and it may become clearer to you. please do't misunderstand me-I'm NOT trying to be critical, but just to put the word ("but") in a context that may help you get the answer that you seek. I think "But" is a conditional statement:kinda like " God knows what you need (but if you will) look to Him (trust, focus on Him, etc.) and he will provide for your needs. But becomes a requirement for the blessaing ("and") I hope that this helps! prothumos-IHS |
