Bible Question: I am in a college age Bible study and we are going through the book of Matthew. Our question was: what is the "Therefore I tell you" in Matthew 6:25 reffering to? What is it there for? Is it a response in context to matthew 6:24 or the previous chapters? |
Bible Answer: Greetings Toughbeans81 and welcome to the forum, I learned a good rule of thumb from a pastor teacher, who was a real student of the original languages, with over 30 years experience in the Koine Greek; he was a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (Summa Cum Laude). He suggested one could derive a good meaning from the word, “therefore”; try substituting the words in your mind, “as a result”. CDBJ |
