Bible Note: Greetings Bill Mc! A heretic? Not a chance! :-) Actually, I'm close to your view of forgiveness, but for a different reason. I'm an Arminian. As such, I view the atonement as being univeral in scope. Therefore, I would extend your argument to say that in the atonement, everyone's sins are forgiven. But, it is only when we respond to the gospel that we receive the benefits. So, we have different reasons, but similar thinking! p.s. - To those on the forum who tire of the Calvinism and Arminianism debate: Don't respond, I'm not trying to start a debate.
