Bible Question:
Hi, Some people say that we can forgive but not really forget as many would require us.That no matter how much we try the old wounds keep popping up thus making it difficult to forget. Now,for real,is it REALLY possible to forget, for example adultery? |
Bible Answer: Greetings anjao! Yes! I believe that adultery CAN be totally forgotten of! It is very difficult, especially in the case of adultery, to forgive and to forget in a marriage relationship. However, God can separate our sins as far as the east is from the west! (Psalm 103:12) And He strives to make us perfect before Him, regardless if we are married or not (Jude 24). So yes, I believe that the sin of adultery can be totally forgiven of, and totally forgotten of. - Nolan |
