Bible Question: I asked the Lord to please help me remove this man from my life and he did. But about 1 year later after his wife had left him for another man and filed for devorce he returned. Me being stuppid of course let him back into my life and to be very honest with you spirtually we are growing. Spirtually we are one with trying to ask for help for our adultery ways and guess what we are struggling but I think the struggle is because we where wrong at when we where doing the things we where doing but as God as my witness I really love this man. |
Bible Answer: Dear PECHES, Did the man's wife leave him because of his relationship with you? If so, then I cannot see how a continued relationship with the man would show 'true repentance' in God's sight. If this is not so, and there were other extenuating circumstances, then you must consult the help of a pastor and make sure that you are seeking some Christian counseling for the situation that you are in. God is in control and we must be 'sold out' to him! Our relationship to God must far outdistance that of any other relationship that we have, whether that is for a spouse, boyfriend/girlfriend, mother, father, etc. If you put God first, then everything else- even this situation- will fall into line by itself. Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight." He's got everything under control. --Nolan |
