Bible Question:
What are some verses to support the idea that fellow christian friends should reconcile past differences and again being loving brother/sister towards one another again. My thinking is that christians should love one another and get brothers/sisters forgiveness if they ask for another chance. Comments? Support to bring to their attention? |
Bible Answer: 3in1, Matt 5:22 "But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be guilty before the court; and whoever says to his brother, 'You good-for-nothing,' shall be guilty before the supreme court; and whoever says, 'You fool,' shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell. Matt 5:23 "Therefore if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, Matt 5:24 leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering. 1 John 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 2 John 13:35 "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." 3 John 15:12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 4 John 15:17 "This I command you, that you love one another. 5 Rom 12:10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 6 Rom 13:8 Owe nothing to anyone except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. 7 Gal 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 8 Eph 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love, 9 1 Thess 3:12 and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; 10 1 Thess 4:9 Now as to the love of the brethren, you have no need for anyone to write to you, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another; 11 1 Thess 5:13 and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another. 12 2 Thess 1:3 We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater; 13 Heb 10:24 and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, 14 1 Pet 1:22 Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, 15 1 Pet 4:8 Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. 16 1 Pet 5:14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be to you all who are in Christ. 17 1 John 3:11 For this is the message which you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another; 18 1 John 3:23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. 19 1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 20 1 John 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 21 1 John 4:12 No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. 22 2 John 1:5 Now I ask you, lady, not as though I were writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. |
