Bible Question: Are we to view Christ's command to Love God and neighbor as fulfilling the 10 Commandments or only the Mosaic laws? |
Bible Answer: Deuteronomy 6:4-6 Leviticus 19:18 When studying scripture, listen with the ears of the original hearers. The first five books of the Bible are: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. Those books come from the Torah which is continuous without books, chapters, and verses. To the Jew, the Torah is the law. Since the ten commandments are contained within the Torah, there is no differentiation between Mosaic law and the ten commandments. Jesus fulfilled all of the Torah. |
