Bible Question:
Hi Doc, Thank you for your prompt response, but due to my shallow knowledge of the Scriptures I did not be- nefit much from your comments. However, if your answears were a simple "yes" or "no"then my perception of the purpose of the 10COMMANDMENTS could be made clearer. Please oblige. Thanks. PS.Respondents who have a different approach to this matter are most welcome. |
Bible Answer: Dear Robert, Insisting on a yes or no answer can be a real problem. Take, for example, the question "Do you still beat your wife?" A man who has never beaten his wife or has no wife cannot answer those questions with a simple yes or no. In fact, if he did answer yes or no, he would be dishonest. Consequently, I cannot oblige you. In your profile, you write "I have a feeling that any questions will beforwaded by me-questions may appear to be not so rational and logical. I therefore, seek your guidance and forbearance." (sic) You have received both guidance and forbearance from this forum. I see that you have been on the forum for some eight years. In your post, you claimed a "...shallow knowledge of the Scriptures..." (sic). Let me offer the following guidance, with forbearance: Sir, that you make an effort to deepen your knowledge. Invest the necessary sweat now, and you will find value in sound answers. To that end I -- and the believers reading this -- will be praying. In Him, Doc |
