Bible Question: I have a lot of "supposedly" christian friends but they don't believe that Jesus is God. I know He is because He said He is. But what I want to know is if there are any verses in the bible you can give me that describes or moreover depicts Jesus as God and not just the Son of God? |
Bible Answer: That's a common subject people bring up to try and get out of being evangelized to or whatever it may be, however the Bible directly indicates it (indicates, not directly says, you have to read the Bible with an intelectual mind); however, your answer is this: In Matthew 4:10 Jesus says to Satan "Give Worship to the Lord your God and be his servant only" basically saying, 'there is one God, and worship only him and no others.' And then, maybe a more well known part of the Bible, in Matthew 14 around like verse 30 is where the event, Jesus walking on the stormy waters, begins. However, Matthew 14:33 says (paraphrased): that those on the ship bowed down and worshipped him. Now ask your friends this: Why would someone who tells you to only worship God, allow you to worship him; unless he was, himself, God? Hope that helps! †God Bless† |
