Subject: Character of Purpose |
Bible Note: Character of Purpose Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized by John. But John tried to talk him out of it. “I am the one who needs to be baptized by you,” he said, “so why are you coming to me?” But Jesus said, “It should be done, for we must carry out all that God requires.” So John agreed to baptize him. Matthew 3:13-15 There was plan. The plan needed to be carried out. But the plan had to have a buy in by the players And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. Matthew 4:18-20 There was a plan for these two brothers and they followed it. Now their plan was completely different than another man, named John. But their purpose was no more, no less There was a divine plan and there is a divine plan for each one of us and we need to have the character to follow our purpose We need to hear the voice that says, “Follow Me” We love Him, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19 Love is Enough, Daniel Stay Hungry |
