Bible Question (short): In Matt 25: 6 is it about us being ready |
Question (full): Does the lamp needing oil of the wise and foolish brides represent the readiness and fullness of God's Spirit in us? Matt 25:6 But at midnight there was a shout, Behold, the bridegroom! Go out to meet him! Matt 25:7 Then all those virgins got up and put their own lamps "in order". Matt 25:8 And the foolish said to the wise, Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out. Matt 25:9 But the wise replied, There will not be enough for us and for you; go instead to the dealers and buy "for yourselves". Matt 25:10 But while they were going away to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were prepared went in with him to the marriage feast; and the door was shut. Matt 25:11 Later the other virgins also came and said, Lord, Lord, open the door to us! Matt 25:12 But He replied, I solemnly declare to you, I do not know you I am not acquainted with you. Matt 25:13 Watch therefore [give strict attention and be cautious and active], for you know neither the day nor the hour when the Son of Man will come. The lamp signifies your vessel; your body and house. The container we leave behind when we hear that mighty shout. Only those who watch, and only those who stay filled and ready and burning bright will Jesus recognize as His own bride. Those who have cleansed themselves,,,hear me, those who have cleansed themselves, washed their own and are standing in white linen which signifies the righteous acts of the saints of God. Wanting some of the wise brides oil signifies dependence on others when God expects you to stand alone burning bright and full of that oil which signifies the Holy Spirit. I woke up this morning at five am saying Holy Holy Holy, Jesus you are king of kings and you are HOLY. HOLY is the Lord. There was another time when God shut the door on the ark and He opened it again. He has stood at the door of your heart for years knocking but HE will not open the door and make you yeild your vessel to Him. One day, Jesus will once more shut the door and say I do not know you to those who took no time to keep their vessel clean, their wicks trimmed, their lamps full of oil and burning bright. In 1990 all I had were oil and gas lamps and no electricity where I lived. I had to trim the wicks, keep them clean, fill them, keep watch over them, and also had to constantly watch them so they would not burn black and smoke. At midnight should we hear that shout, will Jesus find us with our house in order and ready to go as that pure and spotless bride? Will we be watching? Will we be ready or having our eyes on other people. It grieves God how you exalt people and behave as though you are of less value then some "ministry" you have decided is the bright burning lamp of promise. God is today knocking at your door and saying,go out, fill your lamp, concentrate on YOUR vessel and no one elses for He is coming soon and we need to do one thing and that is to get our own house in order. |
