AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 24:3 ¶ While Jesus was seated on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, and said, "Tell us, when will this [destruction of the temple] take place, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end (completion, consummation) of the age?" |
Bible Question:
Follow-up question -- How was this revealed? To whom? Thanks. Peace and grace, Steve |
Bible Answer: Greetings Steve, In the first question the disciples asked they were referring to what Jesus was talking about in 24:2 when He said, "not one stone will be left here upon another". The event of course was the destruction of the Jewish temple that occured in 70 AD. The next two questions are referring to Jesus return and the end of the age. Neither of the events that these questions are referring to have been occured yet nor has the Lord chosen to reveal the answers yet. prayon |
