Bible Question: In Matthew 24:28 there are two different words used in different translations, In KJV the Bible says that where the carcass is the eagles are gathered, and in the NIV this Bible says where the carcass is the vultures are gathered. My question is what does this refer to, and what is the meaning of this one word in the greek or hebrew context, thank you |
Bible Answer: Hi herb... Welcome to the forum! Just an added note: Eagles are not just hunters, they are opportunistic and will often eat carrion such as road-kill or just about anything that is rotten. Thus, either bird is appropriate in translation. God bless John |
