Bible Note: Some observations on the material presented by www.revelationcommentary.com: This web site is presented by the same people as Sola Group It did not take me long to notice numerous errors as I read this material. Please be advised to compare anything you read with scripture. Always study scripture for yourself, turning to commentators only to supplament your own individual study. Da 7:21 “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them;” “And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.” Them “”As with Daniel 7, these final verses promise the saints deliverance. Specifically, the Lord will return and gather the saints together to eventually set up a kingdom on earth. The dependency of the Lord on Daniel’s material is evident (Matt 24:15).”” Me This site that Kalos is promoting is dedicated to deseminate a modified “mid-trib” rapture view, or “pre-wrath”, claiming that the church will undergo the “wrath of Satan”. This passage is offered to attempt to prove that view What reason do we have to think that the saints, the elect, spoken of here are the church, which had not been revealled at the time Jesus taught these things? The Saints, the elect, referred to would be the very same ones always referred to up until this time, Israel. They have assigned meanings to words that suit their interpretation, rather than using the plain, natural meanings one would use if simply reading the passage in view of the audience, the context, the historical placement, and the position within God’s overall revelation. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. |
