Bible Question: why is their gowing to be a seven year tribulation perioid |
Bible Answer: Greetings Isaac! Matthew 24:22 is an interesting verse in which Christ describes this time that is known as the 'tribulation.' Revelation 11:2 and 13:5 both speak of 42 months, or 3 1/2 years. If we take that into account with Daniel 9:27, which states "in the middle of the week..", then we get the picture that the 3 1/2 year time periods coincide with each other, giving us an overall 7 year time frame (or 7 year "week"), which chronicles the events of the tribulation and the return of Christ. This seven year "week" would be the last of the '70 weeks' that the prophet Daniel mentions in Daniel 9:24-27. That is basically where we get the idea that the tribulation will be a seven year time period. Blessings to you, Makarios |
