Bible Note: Greetings Steve! I believe that both Mary and Joseph were originally from Nazareth (Luke 1:26-27). Joseph was also a righteous man, and he was the "leader" of his family, deciding where to settle his family, upon their return to Israel (Matt. 2:22).
