Bible Question: why did jesus love children? |
Bible Answer: I guess I am not understanding why you would think (He) Jesus would love only children ? He Loves everyone..... IN Matt 14:19 Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Jesus wanted the children to come to him because he loves them, and because they have the kind of attitude needed to approach God. He didn't mean that heaven is only for children, but that people needed childlike attitudes of trust in God. The receptiveness of little children was a great contrast to the stubbornness of religious people who let their education, and sophistication stand in the way of simple faith to believe in Christ. He used this kind of reasoning many times in the scripture so I just picked this one out..Hope it helped with your answer.. Eileen |
