NASB | Matthew 18:6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 18:6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble and sin [by leading him away from My teaching], it would be better for him to have a heavy millstone [as large as one turned by a donkey] hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. [Mark 9:42; Luke 17:2] |
Bible Question: Show me at least one place where Jesus said someone specifically (an individual) would be punished for a particular sin, or was going to hell for what they had done. Thanks |
Bible Answer: I am interested in the answer to your question. I noticed that all of the post due not answer the question or provide evidence, they come close, but they still fall short. Jesus said it would better for him to drown, but he doesn't say what the alternative is. We can, of course infer several option, but this quote doesn't quite answer the question. |
