AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 16:13 ¶ Now when Jesus went into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is?" [Mark 8:27-29; Luke 9:18-20] |
Subject: Jesus called himself the son of man why? |
Bible Note: My comment was spacific and dealing with the "son of Man" side of Jesus physically -"human"- nature not the spiritual -"divine"- one. As you say "He had a true body (Heb. 2:14; Luke 24:39) and a rational soul. He was a perfect man" because he was born of woMAN. To simplify my comment, Jesus was called the "son of Man" because he was born of woMAN, Mary, referring to his physical or "human" nature while on earth. DBR |
