Bible Question: Someone said that it is not possible to fast while you are at work. Does anyone have any sayso on this? Is there a specific amount of time you should fast or should you fast during the times you are off work?

Bible Answer: Dear Loyal,

I hope you find the below helpful for your question. Hope you understand that fasting is not to be used to manipulate God. It is a spiritual matter as John Piper puts it "There is only spiritual hunger being spoken and stoked with physical hunger." Remember the Lord's prayer? ... "hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done"...these are our focus.
