Bible Question (short): Jews and Gentiles NOT equal ? |
Question (full): Joel k, I think Jesus was not making a mockery of the Pharasees. He was serious when He said He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel. This can be confirmed when Jesus sent the twelve disciples in Matthew 10:6 "but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel". It is true that the Jews are the "favorites". They are the "chosen ones." And yes, He was testing the faith of the woman. In all His miracles of healing, Jesus always emphasized on the subject's faith( Mat 9:22;Mat 8:10;Mat 9:2 and many more ). But what happens to us, Gentiles. This is the question asked by Shelton88. My opinion is, at first it was really the Jews. Between them and us, there existed an edge to their advantage. BUT in John 4: 21-24, "Jesus declared to a NON-JEW "........But an hour is coming, and NOW IS, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such PEOPLE the Father seeks to be His worshipers........
