Bible Question:
This is a frequenlty aked Ques. but hear it from my point of view and plz help. I consider my self a christian I believe with all my heart. I keep hate, fornication, gluttiny, lust and every other sin from my being. Im in good health I run occasionally and keep fit for my body is lords temple. i am 23 yrs old and all these virtues came to me in an instant when i was fallen and i thank the lord everyday and i pray. But I have come to ask for help because I eat marijuana only occasionally like some one eats candy it gets you high but without lung cancer cooked properly its pretty good. I'm almost convinced its okay, i see no addiction( as much of an addiction for someone who drinks coffee occasionally)I see it as gods green plant when done in moderation ( some people cant keep in moderation) and eaten instead of smoked, its as harmless as coffee with some theraputic properties. Only because of social taboo i ask this how could something God created be so evil, it CANT, unless you let evil in. Peace and Miracles |
Bible Answer: My friend, Jesus said, It is not what you put into the body that defiles the body but what comes out of the body that defiles it. Matthew 15:11 Paul said, "if we have liberty let us have it to ourselves -- let us not use our liberty as an occasion for our brother to stumble. 1 Cor 8:9. He also said, if your heart convicts you of sin, God is greater than your heart. This matter is between you and God. What is God saying to you. If He says it is not okay -- you must stop. If He grants you such liberty -- then exercise that liberty. But be sure it is God you are obeying and not your own lust. Personally, I have never used marijuana and never shall. I never use any substance to alter my consciousness because my mind is a precious gift from God. It sounds to me as though God is convicting you that this may not be a good thing. Search your heart. Search whom you seek to obey. Is this leading you into a closer walk with God -- does it give you peace. Or is it keeping your relationship with God from being fulfilled. Make a decision and choose this day whom you shall serve. As for me and my house -- we shall serve the Lord. |
