Bible Question: why did jesus speak in parables |
Bible Answer: LSmith, Parables can be a form of judgement. Jesus began using parables in Matthew only in chapter 13 immediatley after he was rejected by the Pharisees. And then of course there was the parable Nathan proposed to David after the murder of Uriah. And then there is Is 6:9-10. "He said, "Go, and tell this people: 'Keep on listening, but do not perceive; Keep on looking, but do not understand.' Render the hearts of this people insensitive, Their ears dull, And their eyes dim, Otherwise they might see with their eyes, Hear with their ears, Understand with their hearts, And return and be healed."
