Bible Question: In the parable of the talents in Mt.25. Verse 29 talks about who has will be given more and who ever doesn't what he does have will be taken from him. When I read this I felt like this was speaking of life versus eternal life due to the stewardship of the creation that we have been given to be stewards of and the acceptance or rejection of the Lord Jesus Christ, (truth). In light of how parables illusrate indirectly their meaning and also the refrence to the "weeping and nashing of teeth" I don't believe this is referring to any thing of monitary value. I have tried to find out more on this particular section of scpiture but to no avail, an associate Pasor and friend of mine did not want to fully agree with me on this matter due to our lack of study on it and I agree with his decision. I would really be blessed by any correct doctrinal insight on this. Thank You for your efforts. |
Bible Answer: dear Beans, try this, 1)read Matthew 25:14 and ask yourself "who is this a representation of?" a)I personally prefer John 14:2-3 or 16:7 as a possible answer to this question 2)now read Matthew 25:15-28 a)could this reffer to 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 3)with all this in mind, compare Matthew 25:29 to 1 Corinthians 9:16-20 4)now turn to Luke 12:48. Does this verse confirm the explination I have offered you for Matthew 25:29? The Bible always confirms itself in many different ways.Once a believer opens up his/her heart to the Word of God, He teaches them to hear His voice. What has The Word said to you as you have researched these verses? |
