AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 12:32 "Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit [by attributing the miracles done by Me to Satan] will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. [Mark 3:29; Luke 12:10] |
Bible Question: Isn't the Holy Spirit, Jesus, and the Father one? How can blasphemy towards one, not affect the other. |
Bible Answer: Jesus was here trying to say that, you can do all sort of things like rejecting Him as the Savour, but to deliberately and eye-openly see God's power being demonstrated and to attribute it as coming from Satan is too much for the heavens to forgive .In otherwords, you are saying that the Trinity as a whole is powerless since the Holy Spirit is the power souce of the Trinity. The Pharisees knew very well that Satan was dethroned but just wanted to make mockery of Jesus. |
