Subject: Did Jesus ever drink wine? |
Bible Note: Hello Brother Tim, you know I get so tired of the wine question but I just wanted to ask you this what is worse drinking wine or providing it for others to drink. It seems to me they are the same. You are right we do not have a clear cut verse that says our Lord drank the wine but we do have one that He performed the miracle in making it. There are hundreds of other sins and abuses to preach on. Why will preachers not get on their soap boxes about spousal abuse, beating their wives and children, incest, pornography, and a host of other despicable sins. Yet we have this debate every two or three months about drinking wine. Since God made everything on earth and Jesus is God then he made other things that are bad for us if taken in excess so why do preachers want to deny that the Lord made alcohol. It seems to me to be a non issue. God made everything. Just a few thoughts. Hope you are well. Sister Val |
