AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 11:19 "The Son of Man came eating and drinking [with others], and they say, 'Look! A glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners [including non-observant Jews]!' Yet wisdom is justified and vindicated by her deeds [in the lives of those who respond to Me]." |
Subject: Did Jesus ever drink wine? |
Bible Note: Dear MJH, Did you read the article by Norman Geisler. If he indeed wrote it the first sentence in which he says "Many wine-drinking [so-called] "Christians"" stopped me from caring to read the rest. It is this attitude that turns people off from the abstinence crowd. From last I heard salvation was by grace through Christ alone not whether a christian had a glass of wine with dinner. This attitude is the same attitude some of the Pharisees took with our Lord. A holier than thou attitude. It is very unbecoming especially for Mr. Geisler if he indeed wrote this article. |
