NASB | Matthew 10:42 "And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Matthew 10:42 "And whoever gives to one of these little ones [these who are humble in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water to drink because he is my disciple, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward." |
Bible Question:
Can one lose his reward? Explain. ... It seem to imply we can. What is the reward? |
Bible Answer: This is about experience of life. You can only know it when you do it. The reward is instaneous. When you notice something today that is difficult for you, a begger, a hooligan, I don't know whatever it is that make you turn away. Turn back a give what that person "needs". The reward is in the act itself. Please do not interpret this to mean you must give everything away. Doris |
