Bible Note: Dear Grace and Truth, If we are saved, then we are already dead in our sins(Colossians 2:13)--"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you ALL trespasses"(KJV). Key word: ALL The answer to your question is, yes, if we are saved, and even if we die committing a sin, we will go to Heaven. Why? Because "For by one offering he hath PERFECTED FOREVER them that are sanctified."(KJV) Salvation does not refer to a present condition, but a future one. Do we need salvation for anything in this life? No. We need to be saved in order to stand before the Eternal Judge and be pronounced "not guilty"(see Colossians 2:14). And notice in Romans 10:9, the Apostle Paul says "...you WILL BE saved." We will be saved in the Day of Judgment. Besides, what sins did Jesus die for? All of them, or only the ones you have committed in the past? He is exalted, the King is exalted on High!! 2nd Samuel 22 |
