Bible Note: Dear Grace and Truth, I appreciate your response. Again, maybe some clarification is needed. I concur that Acts 4:32 details the sharing among the believers, leading into Chap. 5 which brings forth the fate of Ananias and Sapphira. However, to directly infer they were "believers" is left unknown. Scripture does not give us a definitive answer. We could assume, but... As far as your references of John 15:16 and Matt. 10:20, I don't believe they are ample to support Judas' being a believer. The chosen apostles are listed in Matt. 10:2,3- with a qualifying note regarding Judas, "the one who betrayed Him". In Matt.10:20 it says,"the Spirit OF your Father SPEAKS in you". I does not say THEY were filled with the Spirit! The Spirit had not yet come, and they were not filled with it. See John 14:16-26! Respectfully Yours, BradK |
