Subject: Once saved, aways saved doctrine refuted |
Bible Note: Once again you demonstrate your misunderstanding of God's preservation of the saints. Let's see if I can boil it down: Your view: Faith plus repentance plus baptism plus works plus enduring to the end yields justification The Bible's view: Faith yields repentance and justification yields baptism (in the believer's baptism view) plus works plus enduring to the end. All will be present in the true believer's life, to a greater or lesser degree. You just keep getting the dominoes out of order! The complete absence of God-honoring actions means there is no faith, but it is by the faith that we are justified before God, not the works. Our God-pleasing deeds are by-products of our salvation, evidence of it, but not the basis. You are correct that the Bible does not preach a works-less Christianity. Nor does it preach a works-based justification. Distinctions, again! --Joe! |
