Subject: Are you refering to the thief ? |
Bible Note: So his sins were not punished according to divine justice? You ask a question about the thief's punishment, 1. He was hangging on a cross for what he had done in his life, by the romans. Jesus's blood was being shed at that moment, when he forgave the thief. Matt 9:6 "But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive SINS! Is what I refered to. "you are saying that the thief on the cross was forgiven without any atonement being made for his acts of rebellion against an infinitely holy God. "You are saying that God, who is perfectly just, whose eyes are too pure to look on evil (Habakkuk 1:13), simply shrugged his shoulders and said "Okay, you are forgiven; no sacrifice necessary." These are your words not mine! |
